As said previously, I’m going to JavaOne this year for a BoF on Elastic Grid.
I will arrive at San Francisco on April, 30th and leave by May, 13th.
If you’d like to talk to me when I’m there, feel free to drop me an email at jerome DOT bernard AT elastic-grid DOT com.
I would be pleased talking with you about Amazon services, Rio and Jini, or whatever else…
The plugin for Amazon EC2 has been updated in order to:
- add support for the Availability Zones,
- fix compatibility with the Mac platform,
- update the Typica library.

- Amazon EC2 now provides elastic IP addresses and availability zones:
- elastic IP addresses are static IP addresses associated to your AWS account which can be remapped on the fly to any EC2 instance,
- availability zones allows you to control where (meaning which data center) you want to start your EC2 instance
Update:
- Amazon EC2 also provides user selectable kernels which allow to run a different kernel than the one provided by Amazon, via AWS Blog.
